As part of your interview preparation; we have listed below, 5 things no one will tell you ahead of your job interview. These have been collated using our own 20 years of interview experience and written just for you.

  1. You're recruiter probably didn't sleep very well the night before either. A sleepless night the night before a job interview is common, for all parties.

  2. Turning up late does matter. Always, always make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes early. Arriving late, does and will matter. Take the earlier train, allow for traffic delays and ensure you know where you are going for your interview.

  3. Your interviewer wants you to be the best candidate of the day. Your interviewer has seen your CV, has chosen to interview you and wants you to be amazing. They want you on their team, you just need to show them how perfect you are for the job.

  4. First impressions matter. They really do, make sure you have clean clothes, smile on arrival and impress your interviewer.

  5. It is not OK not to ask questions. By asking questions, you are showing your interviewer you are interested in the role and the company. Always ask questions, this could set you apart from other candidates being interviewed.

Enjoy preparing for your forthcoming interview, and never forget just how amazing you are.
